Respect

You must respect all members of Art-United. Flaming, insulting, being rude, swearing, etc. is absolutely not tolerated. Not following this rules will result in warnings, suspensions and possible banishment.

Inappropriate content

Art-United is a place for people of all ages. We do not allow any inappropriate content such as; Pornographic pictures and videos. Links to pornographic websites are not permitted and will result in a ban.

Swearing or using offensive/rude language is not permitted.

Illegal content - such as illegal downloads, ****, torrents, etc. are also not permitted.

Ripping

Ripping is absolutely not allowed!

Definition of a ripper:

Anybody who takes a signature or any artwork made by another artist & uses it for themselves (taking full credit).

Stealing the sig & putting their name on it / RIPPING!
Stealing a tutorial & taking full credit for it / RIPPING!
To clarify, taking a stock image/drawing etc, modifying it and putting in a sig is NOT considered ripping here!
Everything is copyrighted, nothing gets special treatment, this culture is built on using copyrighted images in sigs, ie: mario, various anime. all copyrighted.
Just a few examples.

Misleading Links

Misleading links are not permitted. Links should go where they say - faking a link to a rick roll (or similar) site is not permitted and against the rules.

Impersonating

Impersonation of somebody you are not is not permitted. This includes normal members, as well as staff members.

Spamming

Spamming, such as short answers or posting gibberish, is not permitted. Double posting is not allowed - instead, modify your post! Remember to keep your replies on-topic.

One word replies, such as; Nice - Agree, etc. are (in most cases) not premitted.
In the Off-Topic section members are allowed to reply with one word as long as it is on-topic.

Advertising

Advertising any websites is not allowed. No links may be posted. However, links to gfx resources, tutorials, etc. are permitted.

Private Information

Releasing private information of other members is not allowed without their permission. This includes real name, age, pictures, adress, phone number, e-mail, private messages etc.

NEVER arrange to meet somebody you meet online, no matter how trustworthy or honest they seem.

Languages

The only language allowed on Art-United is English. Posting in different languages is not permitted.

Board-Specific Rules

Some boards have specific rules, please follow these.

Ignoring Staff Members

If a staff member warns you and you continue breaking rules, you will be punished.
