Blending is also very nice and even if you're not really happy with the text, I like it.

It's nice, but as you said you don't like the colouring, maybe you can go into the layer's blending mode, set to Overlay or Screen, depending on your background and render, then go to ''Drop Shadow'' do Blend Mode 75%, Distance 1% and Size 2% It will give you a nice flowing text. Overall though good job 8/10
